GR40 FCO 2000 Coil Over Adaptor Installation Instructions

Warning! Working with springs can be extremely dangerous. Proper procedures must be followed to avoid potential injury. If you are not an experienced professional, be sure you understand the entire procedure before going forward.

1) Remove strut assembly and spring as per maintenance procedures found in Ford service manuals for Ford Mustang.

2) If you are installing camber plates at this time install them pursuant to the manufacturer's instructions. Install coil over kit per attached diagram.

3) If you are not using a Koni strut it will be necessary to modify the stamped steel plate tack-welded to the top of your stock or after market strut. Taking care not to scratch the polished strut-rod grind the plate down so the coil over sleeve will slide over the strut body freely. Sand down any high spots on the strut body as necessary. If a bump stop is desired, use only the OEM bump stop.

4) If fitting FCO 2000B to a Bilstein or Edelbrock strut, simply slip the sleeve over the strut housing. It will locate on the top of the housing. No bump stop is required.

5) Assemble the coil over kit and set the base of the lower spring perch between 4 and 5 inches from the base of the threaded sleeve.

6) Reinstall coil over strut assembly and tighten top nut to factory spec. Install spindle on strut and torque fasteners to factory specs.

7) Adjust spring seats to desired ride height.

8) Re-align front end.
