CCM BSB-U Offset RackBushings, Urethane:
Completely read instructions before beginning.
1. Unbolt steering rack and pull forward.
2. On '86 and newer cars there are two sleeves pressed into the frame that
protrudes through the rack mountings. These sleeves must be shortened so
that only 1/8" is all that protrudes from frame. Mark the sleeves appropriately
and remove (squeeze and pull with pliers). Cut squarely where marked and
rein stall. It is important that this be done accurately to prevent over or under
compression of new bushing, which could cause rack to move left or right
while in use.
3. Remove the stock rubber mount bushings from rack.
4. Insert new offset bushings with the hole in the downward position, with the
shoulder of bushing to the front. This should raise the rack approximately 3/8"
5. Reinstall rack and torque mounting bolts to 45-55ft. lbs.
