Congratulations from Griggs Racing Products!

Griggs Racing Products would like to extend congratulations to Vageli Karas for his back-to-back wins at Fontana this past weekend, February 9th and 10th, 2002 in the American Iron Series. A disciplined yet aggressive driving style in his beautifully prepared 93 GR40 Mustang paid off for him by defeating GR40 drivers Rob Ainscough and Ernesto Roco who respectfully finished second and third. Roco qualified his GR40 Cobra on the pole in Sunday's race, and we would like to congratulate him for that as well. It should be noted that this was Ainscough's first ever race for him and his GR40 V8-Venom 99 Cobra.

We are likewise pleased with American Iron Extreme double wins and pole sitting times turned in by GRP team driver Ross Murray in the #40 Griggs Racing prepared 93 GR40 Mustang. Although the competition was sparse, Murray did an admirable job of keeping the car together and on track while learning the difficult task of handling high horsepower and braking forces on less than ideal tires and on the infield road course not ideally suited for this kind of car.

Karas and Murray both have a head start in series points, and we look to them to be strong contenders for the championships. Again… Congratulations!
