Control Arm

A Control Arm is a suspension link that locates a wheel hub or spindle in space, allowing vertical motion while constraining fore-aft and lateral movement. Most independent suspensions use upper and lower control arms (sometimes called A-arms or wishbones based on shape) at each front wheel. Control arm length, mounting point geometry, and bushing or rod end choice are fundamental determinants of suspension behavior.
