Ride Height is the vertical distance between a fixed reference point on the chassis and the ground when the vehicle is at static rest. Lower ride height reduces center of gravity and improves cornering performance but reduces suspension travel and ground clearance. Ride height is a primary tuning variable that affects roll center location, suspension geometry, and aerodynamic performance. Coil-overs allow independent ride height adjustment without changing spring rate.
